Cops Let Delhi Woman Go After She Threatens To Commit Suicide To Avoid Paying Her Challan

Ever since the new, improved and strict Motor Vehicle Act came in the act since September the fine and challan amount have increased heavily. People paying high challan is now a routine. A Delhi woman to avoid paying challan threatened policemen of committing suicide.

On Saturday at Delhi’s Kashmiri Gate, a huge drama unfolded after the cops stopped a woman riding a scooter. As per cops, she was talking on the cell phone without a helmet and the number plate was broken as well. When the officials stopped she started to create a scene and shouting on the cops.

Later, she tried all the tricks in her books to avoid challan. She first requested policeman not to challan her scooter. Then she started crying and said she is ill and requested cops to let her go. She threw her helmet on the road, called her mother to complain about the challan.

After everything failed, the woman threatened to commit suicide and asked an officer what can they do if she kills herself.

All this high voltage drama went on for more than 20 minutes and the by-passers were gathered at the spot. At last, the officers finally let her go without issuing a challan.
