A Nagaland truck owner in Odisha was fined the highest amount till date after the new motor vehicle act came into play. For seven traffic violation on August 10th, the truck driver was issued challan of ₹6,53,100 on September 13th in Odisha’s Sambalpur.
Dilip Karta, the truck driver was stopped for document check-in Odisha’s Sambalpur and was issued the heaviest amount.

After the motor vehicles act passed in Lok Sabha on July 31st and came into action since September 1st, the cases of hefty fines are heard on a daily basis.

On Friday, a truck driver was fined over ₹2 Lakhs for overloading and driving without a proper licence. In Rajasthan, a truck driver issued ₹1.41 Lakhs for traffic violations includes overloading and others.
Gurugram traffic police issued a challan of ₹32,000 to auto-rickshaw driver for not having documents and crossing red light. In Bhubaneswar, another auto-rickshaw driver was handed ₹47,500 challan for driving without any documents.

A Delhi man was issued ₹23,000 challan whereas the bike was worth of ₹15,000. He was riding without a helmet and missing the important documents. Another man burnt his bike after receiving challan of ₹16,000 in Delhi.
