A 48-year-old woman and her 19-year-old newly married daughter were assaulted in Vaishali’s Bihari village for protesting against a rape bid by a local ward councillor. According to Police, Mohammad Khurshid and his supporter assaulted the women, shaved their head and paraded them across the village.
Sanjay Kumar, station house officer (SHO) of the Bhagwanpur police station confirmed the incident. He said the further investigation is underway. Kumar said around 6 people barged into the victim’s house and attempted to rape the daughter. After the mother tried to rescue her daughter, both of them were subject to physical assault by the accused.

One of the victims told: “Around 6.30 pm, half a dozen armed men forcibly entered my house and attempted to rape me. When my mother tried to save me, they started beating us.”
One of the accused beat them with wooden sticks, dragged them outside their house and held a Panchayat. Khurshid called a barber and ordered him to shave the women’s heads, and paraded them across the village.
Eyewitnesses said that Khurshid alleged that the duo was involved in a flesh trade racket.
Police have arrested the ward councillor, a barber and three others on Thursday after a video of the incident went viral on social media. Police registered the case against seven people under sections 376 and 511. The police are in search of remaining accused.

Municipal Corporation identified 26 highly dangerous houses and is taking action to demolish them in Indore. On Wednesday, the corporation’s team reached to break a highly dangerous house at Ganji Compound, where they got engaged and have a dispute with the BJP MLA, Akash Vijayvargiya son of BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya.

A 22-year-old man broke his spinal cord while performing a backflip for popular video app TikTok died in Bengaluru’s Victoria Hospital on Sunday, June 23.
Kumaraswamy was seriously injured while performing a stunt at a school ground on June 15, said the police, adding that he died without responding to treatment at Victoria Hospital.
Reported by Indian Express, Kumaraswamy, the lone breadwinner for his family. He was working as a singer and dancer in a local orchestra.
According to family members, he did not own a smartphone. His friends were recording his stunts to upload on TikTok.

England the host and the favourites have already lost two games and have a tough remaining fixture against top 3 sides and needs two wins to qualify as Sri Lanka sits below them with two-points less.
They can still qualify after losing their remaining three fixtures, if:
Sri Lanka loses all their remaining matches.
Pakistan and Bangladesh get defeated in at least two of their remaining games.
West Indies lose one.
Remaining teams Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh and Pakistan will one way or the other will have to depend on top 4 to make into semis.
Sri Lanks Play South Africa, West Indies and India. Winning all these three is next to impossible, but you can’t rule out specially after their win against England.
However, if they end on 10 points, they will have to sit and wait and hope England lose all their remaining matches, Bangladesh does not win more than two and Pakistan loses at least one.

England tougher games have given them a slim hope of qualification. And in a game of Cricket, you can’t rule out anything.
