Who would have expected this.? India game against Afghan should have been easy but oh boy it wasn’t in any matter. Afgan’s were on the front foot much of the game but as we say Winner’s never quit.
With hearts in hand, India registered their 4th world cup win and rise to the 3rd in the table. India won by 11 runs.
India elected to bat after winning the toss but it didn’t go according to plan as wicket kept falling and in the end, it was 224 which Men in Blue scored. Kohli scored his 3rd consecutive half-century.
Afghan played very well and in the end, were only 11 runs short to create the biggest World Cup upset. Nabi scored half-century but can’t cross the line for Afghan as Indian bowlers won it.
Mohammad Shami became the 2nd Indian bowler to register a hattrick in the World Cup.
