Teenager In Punjab Spends ₹2 Lakh On PUBG From Grandfather’s Pension To Make In-App Purchases

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is the most popular online gaming and PUBG is constantly making some news but the bad one. The craze of the game is superbly high among the youth. Now a shocking incident is coming from Punjab where a teenager has spent around ₹2 lakh on an online game.

The incident is of Mohali. A 15-Yo has spent ₹2 lakh on the PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battleground). The teenager is said to have spent his grandfather pension to make purchases in PUBG Mobile. The teenager only started to play the game in January.

His uncle says that he was trained to make discreet payments through his grandfather’s bank account by a school senior. A 15-YO has made 30 payments of ₹55,000 in the past two months.

He uses Paytm to make payments which was made on his Grandfather’s name.  He used his grandfather’s documents to verify the account and process payments. The family only came to know about the incident when they went for a routine check on the account. The account is used only for the deposit of pension.

After questioning, the boy said to have spent ₹2 lakh on the PUBG. A complaint has filed against the senior to indulge in this behavior. The boy said that he has given some amount to his senior for purchasing UC.

PUBG has drawn a lot of flak for a long time and the hue and cry over the addictive game do not seem to stop any time soon.
