“I Come Under Exemption” — BJP Minister DV Sadananda Gowda Clarification On Skipping Quarantine

India is in lockdown since the last two months to stop the spread of the novel Coronavirus. In Lockdown, the common man is facing all types of problems. In these tough situations, after Manoj Tiwari, another BJP Minister DV Sadananda Gowda has skipped quarantine after flying.

Yesterday, BJP MP from Delhi was seen breaking the lockdown rules as he was seen playing cricket without a mask. Now, a BJP minister from Karnataka DV Sadananda Gowda has broken the lockdown norms.

The minister did not undergo quarantine on arrival from Delhi by a flight in Bengaluru. The 67-year-old minister defended it, saying he came under the exempted category being in-charge of pharmaceuticals, an essential sector.

The BJP government of Karnataka also came in his defense and said the center had issued orders exempting such people handling essential sectors from quarantine norms.

BJP Minister DV Sadananda Gowda in his defense said:

“You need people to work for the control (of COVID-19) right? If you say no one should come out can you stop this? As a pharma minister I need to check production, supplies and ensure it reaches the last point, it is my responsibility.”

“I come under the exemption clause and I have the exemptions…Arogya Setu App on my phone also shows I’m safe. After checking everything we conduct ourselves in a responsible way. Modi (PM Narendra Modi) also won’t spare us, if we move around according to our wish.”

It looks like the rules are only for the common man to follow and suffer.
