We all sit at home and wait for life to become normal. Here is encouraging news. A 92-year-old woman who suffered a stroke 7 months before has recovered from COVID-19 in Pune. The stroke has left one side of her body paralyzed and even affected her ability to recognize faces.
On Monday, the woman and three other members of her family returned home from the hospital. Her three-and-a-half-year-old great-granddaughter is included. They were discharged after there repeat test came negative. All the members were admitted to Symbiosis Hospital in Lavale in the first week of April.
A doctor from the hospital who was treating the woman said that the elder persons can also recover from the virus.
Dr. Vijay Natranjan, chief executive officer of the hospital said:
“All the four members including the 92-year-old woman and her three-and-a-half-year-old great-granddaughter were discharged from the hospital after their repeat tests came negative.”
Normally the sleeping position of COVID-19 patience is changed every six hours. In this case, it was changed every two hours. The woman’s recovery shows that there is no need to panic if a senior citizen contracts coronavirus.
