Youth Rides 600 Km From Hyderabad To Chhattisgarh Amid Lockdown, Because He Wanted Ganja

This lockdown period has left everyone carving for our favorite things. From food to alcohol to cigarettes to ganja. Everyone is missing one thing or the other. But, some people pull the limit for the things they need.

According to The New Indian Express, a Hyderabad youth and his friend rode a bike for 600 km from Hyderabad to Chhattisgarh to fetch some ganja.

Yashwanth Kumar and his friend Ganesh went to Telangana-Chhattisgarh border and managed to pick up 2 kg of cannabis. And started back for Hyderabad with his friend Ganesh. They even avoided around 100 check post by traveling through village roads.

Rachakonda police who were conducting vehicle checks nabbed Yashwanth late on Saturday but Ganesh fled away. The duo were stopped since pillion riding is prohibited now. Police searched Yashwanth’s bike and found the ganja.

Yashwanth has a criminal past. He apparently has 19 bike theft cases against him.

Yashwanth Kumar is addicted to ganja, could not source the intoxicant due to the lockdown. His friend suggested they could get it in Chhattisgarh. They started on Wednesday reached the Sileru river on the Bhadrachalam border on Thursday.

Later on, Friday morning started back their ride to Hyderabad. They traveled through villages to avoid police but 50 km away from their destination police nabbed them.

All the three accused are in custody and have been produced in court, as per the police official. The woman in her statement to the police said that she was stuck in Sawai Madhopur due to the coronavirus lockdown. She finally decided to walk down to her residence in Jaipur.

The woman while in her journey decided to take rest in the government school in Batod Police Station area but was allegedly gang raped by three men. Woman on Friday lodged the complaint against the accused and the case was registered.

Three accused identified as Rishikesh Meena, Lakhan Regar and Kamal Kharwal are arrested. All three are produced before the court, DSP Parth Sharma said.

He said that The medical examination of the woman is done and her statement is also recorded. Police said the woman’s son is lodged in Dausa jail. She was staying alone at a rented accommodation in Jaipur.
