Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath Bans Marriage In Prayagraj During Kumbh Mela

If you are planning to get married early next year and the location might be Prayagraj (Allahabad). It’s not happening. Looking at the Kumbh Mela in the early next year the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh issues an order to cancel all marriage from January 15th to March next year.

This news came as a shock to the people who already had planned there marriage before a long time. The owners of function halls are also not as happy as it used to be the peak season for marriages. Not to have any inconvenience wedding dates are finalised long before so even the booking of function halls.

Keeping all those things aside Yogi government had issued a strict order to all the function halls. The order issued not to organise any function during from one day before the Kumbh Snaan to one day after. The Kumbh Snaan usually lasts between January to March. The government also issued order to return any advance they have taken.

Now the people who have already scheduled there wedding during the days may have to postpone or shift the place altogether.

These are key snaan during the holy Kumbh Mela. Two in January “Makar Sankranti and Paush Poornima.” February will witness “Mauni Amavasya, Basant Panchmi and Maaghi Poornima.” In March Mahashivratri snaan. The wedding will not take place a day before and a day after these snaan during Kumbh Mela. Devotees are expected to turn in massive number during these days in Kumbh Mela.

Earlier, CM Yogi had ordered for a closure of all tanneries in Kanpur from December 15, 2018, to March 15, 2019, to keep river Ganga clean during the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.

A resident of Baripada Bishnu Bhagat, aged 36, dressed as a dustbin with colorful polythene bags to convey a message among people. He is being referred as Chalta Firta Dusting which he says wouldn’t mind because he wants to send a message that if by just few polythene bags if I could look ugly what would we all together have made Earth lookalike.

Regularly, he goes to school to meet kids. He spread a message of saving the environment and made them aware of how harmful is polythene bags are. On his dress messages like “Save Future, Don’t use polythene bags” are written.

Bishnu Bhagat says I have seen a cow eating food wrapped in polythene bags. Along with food cow ate away polythene bag as well, and a few days later cow died. This disturbed me, and I decided to do a bit for the environment and animals.

The moment he entered the school, students were excited. They anticipated that Mr Bhagat would talk about something related to environment, polythene or something related.

“I appreciate Mr Bhagat’s unique idea of dressing himself up with polythene bags to draw attention. This way, he had children’s interest, and they learned an important life lesson from him”

Said the principal of the school in Mayurbhanj, Aloka Dutta.

­“I learned that I should not use polythene bags and also encourage my friends and family members to stop its use.”said one of the school student.”

The efforts of Mr Bhagwat are noticed and appreciated by the authorities. Mayurbhanj’s Collector Vineet Bharadwaj said that his efforts could culminate into a mass movement in the district and everyone can collectively work towards a better future.

Women’s cricket is going through a critical phase. All this begin after Mithali Raj was dropped from India’s semi-final match in world T20 against England. After that BCCI had a few meetings with the players. A day before yesterday Mithali Raj wrote a letter to BCCI in which he questioned the role of coach Ramesh Powar.

My issues with the coach (Ramesh Powar) started immediately after we landed in the West Indies. At first, there were small signs that his behaviour towards me was unfair and discriminatory, but I did not bother much about it. I didn’t exist in the team. If I’m around, he would immediately move away from the scene. If I looked to wish him, he would deliberately start looking in other direction.

Very next day Ramesh Powar wrote a letter in which he blamed Mithali Raj for being playing for individual record rather than for Nation.

He in his letter wrote she batted for her own milestone and ignored her role. She wasn’t able to keep momentum going which put extra pressure on other batters. For Mithali she comes first then team India. Powar added, “We opened with Mithali Raj due to pressure from the travelling selector and Mithali’s threatening behaviour (retirement) to go back home if not given a chance to open the innings.”

After that, as he was getting a lot of hatred after the controversy. He shared a few philosophical thoughts on his Twitter account.
