PCB Wants Visa Guarantee, BCCI Asks For ‘No Terror Attack Guarantee’

Amid coronavirus, Cricket all-around world is halted. This hasn’t stopped the communication. The 2021 T20 world cup and 2023 world cup is scheduled to happen in India. And PCB is already worried about the tournament.

The Chief Executive of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Wasim Khan has earlier said that they have asked ICC about the written assurance from BCCI about the visa-related issues. PCB wants the Pakistani team should not have any travel-related problems for the upcoming two world cups in India.

“We are also looking at the fact that the ICC World Cups are to be hosted in India in 2021 and 2023 and we have already asked the ICC to give us written assurances from BCCI that we will not face any problems getting visas and clearance to play in India,” Wasim Khan had said in an interview on the YouTube Channel ‘Cricket Baaz’.

The demand is nasty and didn’t go well with BCCI. In the reply to the neighboring nation an official asked the PCB to give a written confirmation that there won’t be any terror attack in India.

“Can the PCB give assurance in writing that the Pakistan government would ensure that no illegal incursions into India take place from the Pakistani side or that there’s no violation of the cease-fire or that no act of terror takes place on Indian soil originating in Pakistan or that no repeat of Pulwama type incident takes place?” the official said — who wants to remain anonymous.

PCB said it won’t be compromising for a window and postponing the multi-national tournament. Asia Cup is scheduled in September while the BCCI is planning to start IPL from late September.
