Congress is going through its worst phase since its existence. After losing 2014, recent Lok Sabha elections isn’t good for the party in any manner. Congress party’s then-President lost Amethi-the family seat, 9 Ex-Chief Minister lost and a few more to count. After the party’s poor performance Rahul Gandhi resigned from the Party President Post.
Everyone in the party tried to convince Mr Gandhi to be the Party President, but he didn’t. And today after more than two-months CWC meet took place today. The meeting went on for more than 10 hours.
After a meeting, CWC elected UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi as the Congress Party’s chief.
Everyone was expecting a new face for the Party’s chief post as few names came in light as well. But the CWC stick in the range and selected a Gandhi member as the chief. This gave everyone another chance to troll India’s oldest party.
