COVID-19 has stopped everyone in the world. There has been the number of restriction around the world to flattened the curve. The cases in India are closing in 10,00,000 mark and are setting a new record every other day.
Government has some mandatory protocols to be followed during the pandemic. Since the public transported number of people tested positive while travelling risking other travellers. But, looks like few people are only interested in false playing. This one person travelled from Delhi to Kolkata having COVID-19 positive report in his pocket.
The shocking incident reported when a 34-year-old man took a flight from Delhi to Kolkata via Guwahati. The person has a COVID-19 positive report in his pocket. The passenger took SpiceJet flight on July 14th.
Upon reaching Kolkata Airport around he insisted the authority to put him under the Government quarantine. The authorities didn’t find any symptoms in him and hence denied to send the quarantine.
The passenger refused to leave the premises insisting on being sent to quarantine claiming he had a cough. Later he took out a paper from his pocket and said — “See, this is my COVID-19 result report.” He had tested positive for coronavirus and this sent the Kolkata airport authority into a tizzy.
The passenger was then handed over the state health department and sent to a COVID facility. Now passengers of the two aircraft in which the COVID positive passenger flew are being contact traced by the airlines.
Earlier West Bengal Chief Minister has pointed out the outside travellers for the rise in coronavirus in the state. The government suspended flights from high-risk cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Chennai and Ahmedabad since July 6 for two weeks up until July 19.
This fresh incident has once again raised some serious questions not only on the surveillance mechanism but also on irresponsible citizens who are bypassing rules and risking the lives of many others.
