The crime straight out of an Akshay Kumar movie Special 26 in Uttar Pradesh. A man acting as a fake CBI officer went to a police station. He produced his fake documents and managed to get two constables for conducting a raid on a businessman’s house. The incident is of Muzaffarnagar.
He was exposed after the businessman identified him who came previously came as a Sikh man with a fake beard. While the fake officer was raiding the house, others gathered outside and were protesting the behaviour of the con man.
Deputy superintendent of police Yogendra Singh said:
“He claimed to be a CBI officer and showed his identity card and a search warrant. Therefore, two constables were provided by the police station.”
According to TOI, Police revealed that the con man approached the new Mandi police station and showed his fake documents which include a search warrant for the businessman, Adesh Goel, a resident of Vrindavan city in Muzaffarnagar. Goel runs a rise mill in Uttrakhand.
The situation became ugly when someone recognised his voice and grabbed his fake beard which came out. The accused identified as Trivinder Kumar used to work for Goel some time ago.
