As Coronavirus is spreading, Indian is in lockdown till 3rd May. People are facing tough times as everything is closed except the essential services. Everyone is affected by one or the other way. The alcoholic beverages shops are closed and these are the most affected people.
However, few states have opened the alcoholic beverages stores or the state government has allowed home delivery services. Kerela, West Bengal, Punjab, Assam, Meglayala, Harayana are some states where the sale of liquor is open. Delhi government is also planning to open liquor shops.
We all know liquor is the primary source of income for the government. And during this lockdown time, government revenue is 0 and alcoholic beverages are getting sold in double and in some place in triple the rate.
Netizens on Twitter are requesting the government to open the liquor shops giving various reasons.
Alcoholics drink to survive the daily life. Alcohol shops should not be closed during the Lockdown in India. None of the Alcohol stores are closed in USA, Canada & Europe. Indian Lockdown has closed liquor shops. Politicians may be duffers & dimwits but doctors should know better
