Every now and then Swiggy is in the news. And it is mostly for the wrong reasons. Just, for instance, a man finds insects in food while another man finds blood-stained bandage in food. In another incident, a delivery boy abused a woman. In another fresh incident, a Swiggy delivery executive boy came with the goons.
A Twitter user shared the incident which he experienced. After placing an order when the delivery executive came downstairs for delivering the parcel. He was not wearing a mask. When the person asked him to either a mask or keep the parcel on the floor.
The delivery guy started verbally abusing him and when the person tried to pick up the parcel, the delivery person took a step forward and assault the customer. The name of the delivery guy is Ayush Patel.
So I ordered a parcel from @swiggy_in. The delivery person came downstairs without wearing a mask. I asked him to either wear a mask or keep the parcel on the floor & leave.
He started verbally abusing me. When I tried to take the parcel, he tried to assault me.

Later, when the victim too Twitter to complain, Swiggy came with a regular template reply. The Swiggy delivery boy then came back with goons outside his house and started to threaten. Why? Just because the customer wants safety.
I complained to @SwiggyCares & they gave me a standard template response. This delivery guy called Ayush Patel came back with goons to threaten me & is now outside my gate.
I’ve informed the police.
Ordering food from Swiggy can jeopardize your life & safety.

The reporting of the incident led to other people sharing their pathetic service experiences.
Similar incident happened to me in Bangalore, around 3 years ago. Turned fairly ugly too. Didn’t order from them for a while thereafter.

Many a times I have seen their delivery boys either smoking in public or not wearing a mask. Shudder to think the hygiene standards… Avoid ordering food online…

So much for living upto their tagline it seems. “Swiggy karo, PHIR JO CHAHE KARO” quite literally “jo chahe karo” @swiggy_in

I had a similar experience with @swiggy_in on two consecutive days. The delivery guy did not wear a mask and carried the food in his personal bag and also started misbehaving when questioned. On reporting, my claims were rejected as unfounded.
