Twitter is an amazing place to be. It updates you the fastest not only with the news but, with some weirdest stuff as well.
Dosa is a dish famous in the southern part of India but, loved all over the country. There are various varieties of Dosa served which include Chocolate, Pizza, Paneer Dosa and the list goes on.
Living in the south part of the country I’m up for the Dosa now and then but, recently a Twitter user asked “How many of you here have tried Dosa with beef curry or any other non veg dishes. ” Neither I do know about this combination nor do I’m interested in it is the first reaction.
How many of you here have tried Dosa with beef curry or any other non veg dishes?

There is also an interesting combination in Bangalore homes of dosa (cheela in Bangalore Urdu) and sheera, a sweet “paysa” like syrup made with coconut and poppy seeds.

without, mostly. In Bengaluru, empire has a whole range of Dosa with Chicken/Mutton (that’s not neer dosa, but you get the latter in coastal shops). Dosa with meat is also common in TN

Other than chutney at breakfast, all my dosas are with red meat dishes. That’s a given.

I used to eat regularly in a small Tamil eatery in Bombay, where they used to make motta-dosa, they’d pour a egg into the center of the dosa, like how you make half-boiled egg. I never could muster the courage to try it, but it was quite popular.

All the time. Mutton curry and chicken curry also. My favourite combination is with mutton fry. Doesn’t go very well with pork curry, but.

Favourite combo. Dosa+ beef combo is tastier than Appam + beef combo.

I have. It’s awesome. Dosas slightly sour taste goes well with the spice
