Ahmed Faraz was a Pakistani Urdu poet. He was widely known as one of the best modern Urdu poets and stands with a legendary poet like poets Faiz Ahmad Faiz. Faraz was his pen name.
Born in Pakistan in 1931, the famous Urdu Poet was awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz, Hilal-e-Imtiaz and posthumously the Hilal-e-Pakistan.
Ahmed Faraz wrote some of the simple yet finest couplets expressing the pain of heartbreak.
