Amid Coronavirus, Nightclub Busted In West Delhi For Hosting Illegal Party

The party life has come to halt since the pandemic broke out. To be safe, everyone needs to be at home. Only limited social gathering are allowed only after seeking permission from the authority.

But people in south Delhi cannot resist themself from partying. And were breaking the coronavirus norms. 31 people are arrested for partying at a nightclub in Paschim Vihar on the night of July 14. Police officials discovered that the club was hosting the party as well as serving hookah and liquor which is banned during the pandemic.

The club named ‘Playgue’ was running under the facade of a restaurant with a takeaway. Later, the cops received information about social gathering after several vehicles were parked nearby.

When police reached the spot they find people inside the club were served Alcohol, Hukka and were seen smoking. Alcohol and Hukka find on the spot was seized by the authorities. The cops said:

“We have sealed the club and will conduct a Covid-19 test on all the visitors. If any of them are found positive, they will be booked for additional violations under various sections of IPC.”

The club owners Lavish Khurana and his brother, Kashish Khurana — were also present at the party. Both are booked under IPC Section 188 (violation of government order) and various other sections of Excise Act, Epidemic Diseases Act, Disaster Management Act and Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act. The club also does not have a license to serve liquor.

During interrogation, cops informed that a WhatsApp group was created for the customer who previously visited the club and a message was sent on Monday evening that the club would remain open for the selected people.

The music was played at low volume to avoid unnecessary attention and attention from the neighbourhood. However, that did not work out since the plan got busted.
