First two test matches against England did not go according to the plan for India. India lost both of them. Changes were made for the third game. Rishabh Pant made his debut, Bumrah is back after Injury. Dhawan back after missing the second match.
Today third test match started and massive changes were made in the Indian line up. India made three changes in the playing XI. India also started good in the game and they are performing better when invited by Host to bat first. Kohli, Rahane built India’s first 100 runs partnership of the series. Both of them were set up for the ton, but Kohli missed by three runs and Vice Captain by 19 runs.
After Kohli departed, debutante came on the crease. After facing 1st bowl from Rashid in his test career, he smashed a Six on 2nd ball. Rashid bowled a googly which was picked up by pant and he opened his test scoring by Six. By doing so, he also became the 1st Indian to open test scoring by Six and 12 in the world to do so.
As Rishabh opened his account, Twitter almost lost it and tweets started to flow in appreciation of the debutante.

Rishab Pant is looking more confident than DK; DK was clueless. DK lost his chance, can Rishabh Pant make way as a permanent (WK)?
I’m not watching match, so can you please tell me how Virat got out? @cricbuzz— Rattan Lal Sharma (@ImRLSharma) August 18, 2018

Rishabh Pant is the first Indian to hit a 6 as his first scoring shot in Test cricket. Only Mark Craig (NZ) – 1st ball and Eric Freeman (Aus) – 2nd ball have also hit a 6 as their 1st scoring shot within the first 2 balls they faced.
