PV Sindhu beat her longtime nemesis Nozomi Okuhara in straight games to become the first Indian to win the BWF World Tour Finals tournament.
Sindhu showed much more patience in her gameplay against the Japanese. PV Sindhu claimed a 21-19, 21-17 win in the BWF World Tour Finals Tournament in her third attempt.
“I am the winner. No one can say I don’t win in finals, I have won the gold and this win is really special to me.”

The previous year she had to settle for the silver in Asian Games and Commonwealth Games as well as in the BWF where she lost to Akane Yamaguchi.
This time it was all a different story with the Indian superstar hit the bull eye. In the game she earned her 14th career title lasted for over an hour.
PV Sindhu had a tough 2018 where she was unable to win a single title but, managed to end the year in the top form.
