Looking at the current form of Southampton, Manchester United was hoping an easy task at home but, that wasn’t the case. Southampton is at 17th in the Premier League table but, they gave tough competition to Ole Gunnar’s team.
Man Und started the game brightly and got a few clear chances to open the scoring but. failed. In the 26th minute it was Yan Valery who scored a stunning cracker from the outside of the box.
Southampton lead lasts till the 52nd minute when Andreas Pereira scored a beautiful right-footed stunner. Man Utd striker Lukaku gave them lead seven minutes later. In the 75th minute, Southampton equalizes with the James Ward-Prowse free-kick.
It was again Romelu Lukaku in the 88th minute who gave home team a winner. Lukaku from outside the box with his right-foot gave Man Utd all three points. Paul Pogba missed a penalty in the dying seconds of the game.
