After 11 days of pure drama, madness the Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has confirmed that he will stay at Barcelona after all. In an exclusive interview with Goal, the Argentine star confirmed that he will stay with FC Barcelona for the final year of his contract.
“I wasn’t happy and I wanted to leave. I have not been allowed this in any way and I will stay at the club so as not to get into a legal dispute,” Messi told Goal.
Messi in his interview with Goal blasted the club president Josep Bartomeu. He said, “The president always said that at the end of the season I could decide if I wanted to go or if I wanted to stay and in the end, he did not end up keeping his word.”

Bartomeu and co just can’t hide anymore. They’ve absolutely taken this club down the drain. The fact that Messi wanted to leave in itself explains everything really. The management has NO shame..@victor_font or @JoanLaportaFCB would’ve never let this happen.

Players like Messi, Maldini, Zanetti love their clubs probably far more than we ever could. As much as a loss or elimination hurts us, it hurts them more. Imagine getting to the point where Messi wants to leave the club because of the board. And then have fans question you.
