Esha Gupta Apologises After Twitter Slams Her Racist Conversation About A Nigerian Footballer

Esha Gupta is in the news but, for all the wrong reason. We know Bollywood loves Football and so as Esha Gupta hasn’t hide her love for Arsenal Football Club. She is the brand ambassador for the team.

The recent Instagram story of the actress has left not just Arsenal fans but everyone to doubt her choice.

A screenshot posted by Esha Gupta on her Instagram story which says racist comments against Nigerian forward Alex Iwobi.

Alex Iwobi is a Nigerian International, the Arsenal academy graduate. Esha Gupta with her friend was criticising Iwobi for his performance. Arsenal recently lost 3-1 against Man Utd in the FA Cup 4th round, and the talk might be of the same game as well.

In the screenshot her friend calls Alex Iwobi a “neanderthal” and “gorilla faced” and, Esha laughs it off.

These sort of insensitive comments coming from the brand ambassador for the Arsenal Academy Graduate didn’t go well. Twitter altogether go against the remark made by her.

After facing a backlash from the Arsenal Fans around the world, Esha Gupta on Twitter came up with an apology.

However, the damage was already done and can’t be repaired. The Gooners aren’t in the mood of accepting the apology from the actress.

The comments from the Bollywood actress are irresponsible and insensitive. Football is a game which doesn’t promote racism at any cost and these comment from an ambassador of a club is heartbreaking for me as well as all Gunners fans.

Arsenal are yet to comments on the matter.
