For the draw, all the 32 teams will be divided into four pots with the restriction that teams from the same association cannot be drawn against each other. Real Madrid winning last three back to back Champions League will be in pot one along with Europa League winner Atlético Madrid. Remaining six teams will be the respective champions of there league.

The draw takes place in Monaco at 5:00 PM BST on Thursday 30 August. In Indian Standard Time 9:30 PM.
