Indian Premier League: Buttler Fifth Successive Fifty Gives RR Light Of Hope

Indian Premier League entertainment is at it most as the season progress day after day, the race to qualify for the playoffs is getting much tighter. Sunrisers Hyderabad has already qualified for the playoffs and Chennai Super Kings after the match against Rajasthan Royals Vs Mumbai Indian have also qualified. Two spots are still left to be filled and there are still four teams who can qualify for the playoffs.

England wicketkeeper Jos Buttler is in the form of his life and winning the games single-handedly for his franchise. He has played 12 matches for his side and already crossed 500 runs with an impressive strike rate — Buttler scored 94* in 53 balls crossing the line for his team. Earlier in the innings, Rajasthan Royals lost their 1st wicket just after nine runs. Then came Rahane, Both of them played some good cricket which put Rajasthan in a strong position. It took only 18 overs for Royals to cross the line.

Earlier in the game, it was Rajasthan who won the toss and invited MI to bat first. Having started well in the first half of the inning, Mumbai Indians lost the plot in the last half, losing wickets at regular intervals just scoring 79 runs in last ten overs which didn’t help Mumbai Indians. MI dropped further on to the 5th place on to the points table with 10 points making it difficult for them to make to playoffs.

Monday comes another exciting fixture where Kings XI Punjab will battler out Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore. It’s a tough game for Punjab and has to win the game to give them the upper hand in the playoff race.
