India’s World Cup winning captain, Anup Kumar has announced retirement on Wednesday. Anup Kumar was given Arjuna Award for his contribution to the game.

35-year-old Anup started his career in 2006 at South Asian games in Sri Lanka. Anup Kumar was a part of the gold-winning team in 2010 and 2014 Asian Team. Anup Kumar won the Pro Kabaddi League with UMumba in season 2.
Anup Kumar is often called as Bonus Ka Badshah because of his ability to pick bonus. Commentators call him Captain Cool. He is the player known for his honesty for the game and earned respect from the opponents.
