Last night the most prestigious individual award ceremony took place in France. The Ballon d’Or. This was also the first time when a Ballon d’Or was also presented to Woman. Ada Hegerberg, the Norwegian footballer, won the women’s Ballon d’Or.
This might possibly be her greatest individual moment in the professional career which was ruined by DJ Martin Solveig when he asked Hegerberg to twerk on stage. She politely declined and tried to remove herself from the stage.
The French are having a bad week. Now one of their DJs asks the first woman to win the Ballon d’Or if she TWERKS. Watch her turn away.pic.twitter.com/WFfqfoLqk6

After the incident as social media backfired him for his inappropriate remark, Solveig apologised for explaining that was only for fun but, was highly sexist.
I explained to @AdaStolsmo the buzz and she told me she understood it was a joke. Nevertheless my apologies to anyone who may have been offended. Most importantly congratulations to Ada pic.twitter.com/DATdg0TfQk

Sincere apologies to the one I may have offended. My point was : I don’t invite women to twerk but dance on a Sinatra song. Watch the full sequence People who have followed me for 20 years know how respectful I am especially with women pic.twitter.com/pnZX8qvl4R

But, The movement was ruined.
Too late, if he was sorry he would not have asked it in the first place.
The fact that he felt comfortable enough to do so is the problem here.

The presenter literally ruined one of the greatest moments of her career.

A highly respected, award winning female journalist @PatsKarvelas is ejected from Australian parliament for wearing a sleeveless top….and soccer player @AdaStolsmo is awarded the first ever female #BallonDor and gets asked to twerk on stage by the MC.
Still a long way to go…

Ada Hegerberg.
UEFA Women’s Champions League winner. Three times.
First female ever to win the #BallondOr.
Being asked about twerking.
Blatant sexism in 2018.pic.twitter.com/8flfqRGjJb

Still a long way to go… until men can show some skin in professional environments

The ONLY good thing to have come from this is the universal middle finger you are being given for you twatness – and I don’t expect your ‘grasp of English’ to understand that either. @EniAlu is right. You are indeed a nob.

“This comes from a distortion of my level of English.” Homeboy, you asked the question in French to a Norwegian athlete at a French ceremony.
Looks like you’re distorted in a lot more things than just English.
