Manohar Parrikar, Goa chief minister of Goa, lashed out Rahul Gandhi through a letter and accused him of playing Petty politics. Yesterday a meeting between the two took place which Congress President himself called a ‘courtesy visit’.
Parrikar in the two-page strong words letter said: “Paying a courtesy visit and then stooping so low as to make a false statement for petty political gain has raised, in my mind, questions about the sincerity and purpose of your visit itself.”
“Here I’m fighting a life-threatening illness… I thought your visit would give me your good wishes in that cause of serving our people. Little did I know that you had other intentions”, Parrikar wrote in his letter.
Within 24 hours Rahul Gandhi took a U-turn from his statement of courtesy visit. At a public rally in Kochi he claimed the two have discussed Rafale deal. Rahul Gandhi alleged,” the ex-defence minister and the current Goa chief minister Mr Manohar Parrikar clearly said that he has nothing to do with the new deal was orchestrated by Mr Narendra Modi to benefit Anil Ambani”.
