After All Around Protests, BJP Takes Action Against Pragya Thakur

Yesterday BJP MP from Bhopal Pragya Thakur in Parliament mentioned Nathuram Godse as Dekhbakth. This controversial statement from the MP was expected to make the huge roar in Indian politics. This is what is happening as soon as the parliament session started today.

Rahul Gandhi, when asked about the incident first, denied speaking first and later said:

“This is the heart of BJP and RSS. What can I say?”

“As the Parliament session begins today. Congress MP walkout from Lok Sabha amid uproar over the comment by BJP MP Pragya Thakur.”

Asaduddin Owaisi, the lonely AIMIM MP said:

“It’s not the first time she said something like that. It shows she’s an enemy of Gandhi&a supporter of his killers.”

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, the Congress MP said in the parliament:

“Congress was called a terrorist party, the party from which thousands of leaders made sacrifices for the freedom of nation. What’s happening? Will the House stay silent on this? Mahatma Gandhi’s killer was called ‘Deshbhakt’.”

“After seeing the heavy proteas, BJP’s working president JP Nadda has given a statement and calls it condemnable.”


The country’s defense minister has also condemned Pragya Thakur’s statement in the Parliament:

“BJP strongly condemns any ideology that believes Godse was a ‘patriot’, let alone calling him one,”

The party has also taken action against its MP. BJP has barred Pragya Singh Thakur from attending all Parliamentary Party meetings for the rest of the winter session. She is also removed from the defense committee and also she is not allowed to attend the Parliament session
