A family in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh had called off a wedding due to this bizarre reason telling that the Girl spends so much time on WhatsApp. Marriage was supposed to take place on Sept 5th but was called off by groom’s family.
Urooj Mehandi, the bride father, told we were waiting for the groom’s family to come up, but when they didn’t turn up, we went there home. The family refused to marry my daughter, alleging that she is not good as she spends too much time on WhatsApp.” — reported ANI.
Father of the bride also told that after repeated request they somehow accepted and demeaned a hefty dowry of ₹65 Lakhs.
After all the incident the bride father reported the case. To which SP responded “We have received a complaint and a probe is underway. We will take action accordingly.”
