On Monday night two men boarded an app-based cab, stabbed Cabbie, took away his valuable and his car as well. He was left on the road whole night. The incident is of Bakkarwala village in outer Delhi. Two men who boarded the cab asked him to drop Bakkarwala. After driving for two-hours when he reached the destination, two more men boarded it.
Rohit, the cabbie lives with his sister lives in Gautam Bhud Nagar, started to drive two weeks prior.
Rohit, the victim told to police:
“When I asked for payment, they told me to drive to a nearby ATM so that they could withdraw cash. I drove for 2-3 kilometres and stopped in front of an ATM kiosk. The men overpowered me and snatched my two mobile phones, debit cards and cash.”
After snatching, they asked Rohit to tell his debit card pin number, but he denied, they then started to trash Rohit, and one of them stabbed him with a knife on his neck. They pushed him out of his car and drove away with his vehicle.
Cabbie tried to chase them but, was bleeding and fell on the road. After bleeding whole night the locals in the Morning spotted him and took him to the hospital. The doctors treated him and informed to the police.
Speaking to TOI DCP (outer) Seju Kuruvilla said:
“The white Hyundai Xcent car has been recovered and three suspects have been detained. A case of robbery has been registered at Mundka police station.”
Police are scanning the CCTV footage of the area to identify the robbers.
