Oxford Replies To Rahul Gandhi Claims Of Coining New Word To Slam PM Modi

Just one more phase of general elections id left which is due on May 19th. The six phases are completed. As elections coming to end political leaders are sharping their attacks on each other to gain an advantage. Recently, Congress President Rahul Gandhi took Twitter to slam PM Modi.

Yesterday, Rahul Gandhi took a swipe at PM Narendra Modi claiming there’s a new word in the English dictionary — “Modilie.” He tweeted there’s a new word in the English Dictionary. Attached is a snapshot of the entry.

And now a day after, Congress President made claims, Oxford Dictionaries came up with a reply on Twitter and said that the claims made by Rahul Gandhi are fake. In reply to Gandhi’s tweet they said:

“We can confirm that the image showing the entry ‘Modilie’ is fake and does not exist in any of our Oxford Dictionaries.”

After Oxford Dictionaries confirmed about not adding any such words claimed by Congress President, Twitter comes into action and has some trolling reserve for Mr Gandhi.
