Noida Cops Allegedly Thrash Ice-Cream Vendor After Being Asked To Pay ₹150

Two police officials in Noida, allegedly thrashed an ice-cream vendor after he asked them to pay ₹50 for the items they had bought from him. The entire incident was of 13th July and is recorded on a camera.

Amit Kumar the ice-cream vendor said:

“I was selling ice-cream near the Police post when one inspector and a constable came and had ice-cream. When I asked for the Rs 150 which was due, they started beating me. They took me to the police post and they beat me there also.”

Two police officers from Barola police post under Sector 49 police station bought ice-cream from Amit Kumar. Later, when the vendor asks them for the payment of the same the two cops started beating him. The two cops then took the vendor to the police station and again trashed him.

A police official said:

“They took the vendor to the police chowki and again beat him. Locals had meanwhile called up the emergency ‘100’ number after which another police team reached the spot and the matter was brought to a closure.”

Vaibhav Kumar, Gautam Budh Nagar SSP says “I have ordered an investigation in the matter.”
