In a shocking incident, a 32-year-old man in Navi Mumbai was gang-raped by 5 drug addicts at Vashi’s Sagar Vihar lake. The survivor stopped for a cigarette while going back home when the incident happened.
The accused kidnapped a man from a deserted spot and took him behind some trees, where the 5 men sexually abused him and have beaten him as well.
“The doctors at a private hospital have had to conduct multiple surgeries. The man is under observation,” said the officer.
When the man didn’t come back home for a long time his family members started to search for him and then someone informed the victim was found lying at Sagar Vihar. The survivor was then rushed to the hospital where man has had to undergo several surgeries.
The doctors removed the dry coconut shell pushed inside his body by the accused. The victim is under observation as per the cops. The accused also compromised the victim’s private parts after sexual assault to scare him of the consequences of complaining against them.
After the man’s relative approached the police, the case is registered on Tuesday. “We have registered a case under section 377. An investigation is going on,” a senior officer from Vashi police station said.
Cops have taken the description of the accused and are trying to trace them. The police said that they are also investigating the CCTV footage of the nearby areas. The survivor said that the accused were intoxicated and also under the influence of the narcotics. They all seem to be in the age group of 25-30.
