Mahendra Singh Dhoni declared himself unavailable for the West Indies series is currently serving his army duty and is appointed in South Kashmir. He has taken a two-month break from Cricket to serve his regiment in the Kashmir Valley.On the occasion of Independence Day, MS Dhoni Flag in Ladhak the newly created Union Territory.

MSD likely to host tri-colour in Leh

MSD with his Territorial Army battalion is at present stationed in Khrew in the Pulwama district of Jammu & Kashmir. Dhoni joined his battalion on July 30th. He is now likely to travel to Leh on August 10th with his regiment.

The exact location where MSD will host tri-colour in Leh isn’t revealed.

A senior army official said:

“Dhoni is a brand ambassador of the Indian Army. He has engaged in motivating members of his unit and has often been playing football and volleyball with the soldiers. Dhoni is also undertaking battle training exercises with the corps. He will remain in the valley till August 15.”

MSD likely to host tri-colour in Leh

While serving, MSD was seen playing volleyball with his battalion. Lieutenant Colonel received all-round praise after one of his image which went viral, in which he was seen polishing his shoes.

The Union government has undertaken a programme to hoist the national flag in every village of Jammu & Kashmir. It is a part of Independence Day celebrations in the state after recently abolishing 370 and 35A.
