In Indore, Civic Body Officials Overturn 14-YO’s Egg Cart After He Refuses To Pay ₹100 bribe

The coronavirus pandemic has hit the poor and the vulnerable hard. Many have turned to sell essentials products to support their families. As the poor struggle to make ends meet, officials who have failed to show sympathy or patience in these difficult times.

The latest incident from Madhya Pradesh where civic body officials allegedly overturned a 14-year-old boy’s cart carrying eggs in Indore.

The 14-year-old alleged that the Indore civic body officials threw his cart after he refused to pay a bribe of ₹100. He said that the officials warned him to remove his cart from the road or give them ₹100.

When the boy refused to remove his cart or pay the bribe, the civic body officials overturned his cart, which destroyed all the eggs. With his little shop destroyed, the angry teenager is seen in videos gesturing angrily at two men and was also crying.

The Madhya Pradesh administration has implemented a ‘left-right’ rule for shops. It comes as a measure to control the spread of novel coronavirus.
