Indian playback singer Mika Singh is in the news from past few days. He on August 11th performed in Pakistan at the wedding of former President Pervez Musharraf’s cousin’s daughter.
This was at the peak of the time when India’s relation with Pakistan is pretty furious. India revoked Article 370 on August 7th and since then the tension between the two increased. After the video of Mika performing in Pakistan appeared on the social media he received a lot of flak from both, Indian and Pakistani Twitterati.

There were few more clips shared online and so many comments from both the side targeting the Indian singer.
Two days later, All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) have decided to ban and boycotted the singer.
He went to Pakistan with 14 crew members and reportedly chared ₹1 Cr to perform at the wedding. AICWA and FWICE have banned Mika Singh and no artist will be working with him till the ban is imposed on the singer.

After the ban, Mika Singh released a video in which he requested the filming body to hear him out once and they take the final call on his ban.
Salman Khan also came in the news as he and Mika are all set to perform together in Salman Khan’s upcoming concert in Houston next week. FWICE has clearly warned that whoever will work with the banned artist will also be banned irrespective of the country they are performing.
FWICE also announced that whoever worked with the banned artist will also be banned. Mika Singh meets with FWICE and after hearing him out, the ban on the pop-singer is lifted.
After the ban was lifted he took to Twitter to announce it.

“A reporter asked him why did he go to Pakistan after Pulwama. To which he countered reporter saying a few months ago Neha Kakkar, Sonu Nigam did a show in Pakistan. Have you asked questions about them? Why am I being singled out?”
Mika in his defence said that Article 370 was revoked on August 5th while he had crossed the border on 3rd August and his mistake was entirely unintentional. Mika Singh also said that he only went to Pakistan after he was issued a visa. No one raises a voice when other artist performed.
