In a huge move, the central government on Monday to ban 59 Chinese App on grounds of national security. An order is sent to the phone companies to block the application. The discussion of the same was going on much before the Galwan Valley clash but after the clash it fast-tracked.
This is one of the biggest decisions taken by the Indian government in aid to boycott Chinese products.
Chinese companies are suspected of building backdoors in their hardware and software. One reason why many governments across the world have been uneasy at the prospect of deploying Chinese-made 5G networking equipment.
