A 45-YO Man, who got married on April 2nd with the teenager had raped her three times from April 4-6, when they were in Haji Malang in Kalyan. The teenager father and the accused who works together were devotees of a saint.
According to the FIR, the 45-YO told the girl father that the saint had appeared in the dream, and had ordered him to marry her daughter and visit the UP dargah. Girl father refused initially as her daughter was too young but, the accused said if they didn’t get married, the saint would get angry.
They both got married on April 3rd and left for Haji Malang next day. Later on April 7th, Husband, wife and the family members of a wife left for Gorakhpur.
After returning home, the complainant’s sister asked the minor if the accused did anything wrong to her. This is when the minor told them that the accused had raped her. Her father then approached the police on Wednesday and an FIR was registered.
Pandurang Darade, senior inspector, Deonar police station, said:
“The minor’s medical examination was done. The accused has been booked under sections 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code and 6 and 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. We are searching for him.”
