The entire country is moving towards unlock while Mizoram is completely lockdown. The state reverts back on June 9th for two weeks and further extended till the 30th of June. And in this lockdown, the northeastern state is setting an example.
Mizoram has set up shops without shopkeepers. Along with the roadside number of shops are set up. It is called the ‘Nghah Loh Dawr’ culture of the state which means ‘Shop Without Shopkeepers.’
These shops work on the principle of trust. You take what you want & keep money in the deposit box.

Also, the cops in the state are relaxed during lockdown unlike the other parts of the country. Twitter is all praise for the people of Mizoram and is applauding their trustworthy act.
It is a very common sight in almost every corner of Mizoram. This season one can mostly finds vegetables shops along the roads.

Yes! You will find them all over the places.. local produce, fruits vegetables all kept under a makeshift shop and a small box / container to keep the money.

I saw similar practice in part of Sikkim, especially in mountain villages and that totally blew me away. I picked a few items and left money in a hanging plastic bag.
