Now, it’s official, India’s Bengaluru has the worst traffic not in the country but in the world as well. If you have been to Bengaluru or not doesn’t matter what’s matters is everyone knows the traffic situation in the city. It is so bad that #BengaluruTraffic even trended on Twitter.

TomTom, a leading in-vehicle navigation company has released its annual Traffic Index, covering 416 cities across 57 countries on 6 continents. As per their report, India is the worst-hit country by traffic congestion with 4 cities in the top 10 including Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, and Pune.

Bengaluru is the IT hub of India and has the worst traffic in the world, with traffic congestion as high as 71%. TomTom Traffic Index also revealed that 20th August 2019 (Tuesday) was the worst day with 103% congestion, with 6th April 2019 (Saturday), was the best day with 30% congestion.

Manila, Philippines grabs the second spot with congestion similar to Bengaluru at 71%. India’s Mumbai and Pune takes 4th and 5th spot. Bogota, Colombia is the 3rd worst city for travelers in terms of traffic.
