Much awaited verdict on Aadhaar is out and most of the people are confused about the decision given by the top court of India. A five-judge bench, led by Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra, reserved its verdict in the case on May 10 after a 38-day hearing.
The verdict was 4:1 in favour, with only Justice Chandrachud being the lone dissent on the bench.
Linking Aadhaar with the pan card is mandatory.
Aadhaar is not required to link with Mobile Number, Bank Account and admission in educational institute.
Apart from this, the supreme court has also told the telecom operator to delete all the data they have collected from the user.
