Mission Mangal released today on the occasion of Independence Day. Mission Mangal is the real-life story of the ISRO’s Mars Mission. The movie stars Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Kritika Aggarwal, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari Nithya Mohan and Sharman Joshi.

The movie focuses on ISRO’s Mars mission. ISRO launched the mission on November 5, 2013, and in its maiden attempt inserted into Martian orbit on September 24, 2014. The movie portrays the highlights of the Mission.
