The Lok Sabha in passed a Motor Vehicles bill 2019 to make changes under the motor vehicles act of 1988. Under the new laws, the fine for breaking new traffic penalty is very heavy. Speaker of the Lok Sabha Om Birla passed the bill. The amount for violating the new traffic penalty is increased to approx 10 times of the previous fine.

Previous fine for riding a bike without a helmet was 100 not it is 1,000 also the same story is with the seatbelt. All the fines are reviewed and increased in the new Motor Vehicles act. There is some new provision added in the bill which also includes heavy fines in the reviewed new traffic penalty.
