In one of the most bizarre incidents, you will ever hear is coming from Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj. The family cooked ‘ganja sabzi’ and ate it assuming it was methi (fenugreek). The incident took place in Miyaganj village.
Navbharat Times reports — a man named Naval Kishore jokingly gave a packet of weed or ‘ganja’ to a fellow villager’s son, Nitesh, and said that it was methi.
Nitesh apparently did not realize what he had was not a vegetable. He then gave the weed packet to his sister-in-law who also did not realize what’s in the packet. She assumed that she is making ‘aloo methi’ but made ‘ganja sabzi’.
The family with a member of 6 ate the sabzi containing weed. After their health deteriorated they asked neighbors to call for the doctor. The family fainted and was hospitalized.
