PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is the most popular online gaming and PUBG is constantly making some news but the bad one. The craze of the game is superbly high among the youth. Now a shocking incident is coming from Punjab where a teenager has spent around ₹16 lakh on an online game.
A 17-YO boy was highly addictive to PUBG as he made in-app purchases and upgrades and ended up losing ₹16 lakh. The boy has access to the three bank account and he used all three on the super-addictive PUBG Mobile game.
The boy said to his parents that he is using the mobile phone for studying while he continues to play a game for hours. He not only made an in-app purchase for himself but also for in teammates as well in the game.
The teenager extensively uses his mother’s phone for playing the game. He makes the transaction and later deletes all the messages related to the same.
The incident came to light when his parents access the bank account. They were in extreme shock when they came to know that ₹16 lakh is spent. His father said, he had saved the money for his son’s future and medical needs. The teenager’s father is a government employee and was posted somewhere else when all this was going on.
After the startling incident, the father has made the boy work at a scooter repair shop. “I just can’t let him sit idle at home and cannot give him a mobile phone even for studying. He is working at a scooter repair shop so that he realizes how hard it is to earn money. I am hopeless now as the money was saved for my son’s future.”
His father said that the son not only blew off the medical saving he also emptied his mother’s provident fund and his own account. PUBG has drawn a lot of flak for a long time and the hue and cry over the addictive game do not seem to stop any time soon.
