Cops Fined Electricity Employees For Not Wearing Masks, They Cut Power Supply To Police Station

In an act of revenge, in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag — the electricity department employee cut down the power supply of a police station after they were fined for now wearing a mask.

Here is what happened. Sub-Inspectors Mansur Ali and Vijay Pratap Rahi were checking people for following proper COVID-19 guidelines. During checking they saw a bike with 2 people approaching. Two employees of Rudraprayag’s power department driving on a motorbike. Both of them were without the mask.

Cops stopped them as the mandatory mask was missing. Their names were Mahavir Singh and Surendra Singh Lingwal and were from the office of the power distribution section of Bellani Rudraprayag.

They both got into a scuffle with policemen because they were not wearing masks. As a result, they were both fined. They were each fined ₹100.

Mahavir accepted it but Surendra did not. Not happy with the fine, they got back their revenge at the cops by cutting off the power to the station.

The SP of Rudraprayag police found out and complained to the MD of the Electricity Department. Then power was restored, but the employees got suspended and also charged.
